What is Contact Dance?
Contact dance, also known as contact improvisation, is a dance form where participants maintain physical contact while improvising movements together.
It emphasizes the exchange of weight, balance, and energy between dancers. The focus is on spontaneous, non-verbal communication, with dancers responding in the moment to each other's movements.
This form of dance fosters a deep sense of connection, awareness, and collaboration, often used both in performances and as a tool for personal and therapeutic exploration.
