Panchakosha (from the Sanskrit pancha meaning "five" and kosha meaning "sheath" or "layer")
is a foundational concept in yoga and Vedanta philosophy. It describes the human being as a multidimensional being consisting of five layers of awareness or energy that envelop the true inner self (Atman).
Originating from the ancient Taittiriya Upanishad, the model helps map the inner journey of self-realization, moving progressively from the gross physical body to the most subtle, transcendental states of consciousness.
Akshai Sarin conducts a guided Panchakosha meditation, gently leading participants through the five layers of being - the physical body, energy body, mental-emotional body, wisdom body, and bliss body.
Through breath, stillness, sound, and subtle awareness, the experience supports a gradual movement from outer noise into inner clarity, helping participants reconnect with a deeper sense of presence, balance, and wholeness.
